Poet In Mind

Poetry is a very subjective medium to write. There are so many different forms (or not), voices, structural elements that can be used. Any or all of these things can make a poem structurally, visually, aurally, orally, emotionally appealing. When you think about it, most any piece of writing could be made to pass for poetry…to the right audience. Now, it might not be very good…but if you just consider the elements of it and how it might appeal to someone, then yeah,

it is poetry.

Occasionally, I get the urge to “binge-read” a specific poet, or I find one that I don’t know much about. In those cases, I like to put together a short summary of their lives and some examples of poetry, and hopefully, give some insight into their writing.

I call it Poet in Mind.
